8 Week Evening Course Every Wednesday 6.30pm - 9.30pm 1 Feb - 21 March 2012 6 June - 25 July 2012 12 Sept - 31 October

This course is an introduction to illustrating children’s books, you will learn to examine different approaches and styles of illustration through experimentation with a variety of media. You will explore and develop character ideas and gain feedback from fellow peers within the class. The course also provides an opportunity to learn digital techniques using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Publishers like illustrators to have a good basic understanding in file formats and editing all of which will be covered over the eight weeks. Halfway through the course you will be introduced to a published children's book illustrator who will share their experience and offer tips on how to get published.

This course is taught evenings only to allow for students to progress their work over an eight week period and receive feedback through work developed in and away from the studio.
